their predominant traits: the siamese cat breed is one of elegance, with their pale bodies, blue eyes, and darker faces. they have four common coat colors: seal point, lilac point, blue point, and chocolate point. siamese cats are easily trainable, vocal, super social, intelligent, very clingy with their humans, and playful. this breed does not like being alone for extended periods of time, so owners are recommended to get two, as siamese do well with other cats, and sometimes even dogs. they love curling up in warm, heated places, a favorite spot being their owner's lap!

common health concerns: a siamese's lifespan is 15-20 years, and the following are some common health issues for the breed...

• progressive retinal atrophy
• asthma
• amyloidosis
• dental disease
• pica

grooming and maintenance:

• they only need bathing whenever they become dirty (or about once a month).
• siamese love interacting/playing with family, jumping (cat trees and perches), interactive toys, and can sometimes be trained to walk or fetch.
• they shed, but only need to be brushed once a week.
• brush their teeth at least once a week to prevent dental disease.
• their diet should consist of high protein, wet food, and lots of water.
• trim a siamese's nails regularly.
