their predominant traits: russian blues are an extremely beautiful cat breed, with short, silvery coats that have a faint tint of blue and green eyes. they are one of the most intelligent breeds, along with being quiet, shy at first, playful, elegant, and affectionate. when first meeting people, they are reserved, so you must win their trust and love, and for this reason russian blues are not the best with small children, and may be apprehensive of other cats/animals at first. they are okay with being left alone for long periods of time and are low maintenance, with the exception of their playful demeanor. generally, they are considered hypoallergenic due to their low shedding and production of the protein that people react to, but they're not fully hypoallergentic.
