their predominant traits: pit bulls are actually a group of breeds, they are not formally recognized as a singular breed by the American Kennel Club, however they are identified as almost any dog with a short coat, wide head, and muscular build. the main breeds recognized as pit bulls are: American bulldog, American Staffordshire terrier, American pit bull terrier, Staffordshire bull terrier, English bull terrier, and combinations of these. although their popularity fluctuates, with a large portion of society viewing them as dangerous, pit bulls are loving dogs if trained correctly. they are prone to prone to anxiety and separation anxiety, and are common in shelters.

common health concerns: pit bulls are expected to live 10-14 years, as they do not have many predispositioned health issues. here are some of the few

• brush their coat once a week to prevent too much shedding (a rubber brush is recommended).
• routine ear cleaning is necessary to prevent infections.
• brush their teeth at least once a week.
